The Breeze Mate™ Solar Ventilation System is an optional attic fan control system, consisting of a remote interface master controller(MC-10A) along with an individual solar fan controller unit (FC-10A) that is installed in your attic.  Breeze Mate™ offers temperature and humidity control for your solar attic fan and helps prevent attic depressurization.  The Breeze Mate™ solar fan kit wirelessly controls up to 10* solar fans, either independently or all together from the comfort of your home.

* The Display interface (MC-10) will control up to ten fan controllers (FC-10).

The power monitor on the BREEZE MATE™ will help identify incorrect orientation or tilt angles.  Use the display to monitor the power production of your panel.  If it typically produces less than full power on a sunny day than it is a good idea to check your solar panel installation.

Place the panel high on the roof with southern exposure if possible.  If using the remote panel, orient the panel towards the south.  Ensure that the panel won't be shaded for prolonged periods.

Angle of Tilt:

In general, the angle of tilt (from horizontal) for a solar panel should be equal to your latitude plus 15 degrees in the winter or minus 15 degrees in the summer.  You can choose whether to optimize your fan for summer or winter depending on its purpose.  If unsure, installing the universal solar panel pole mounting bracket in the middle works well in both seasons.
