Inspections
Two inspections are required to be performed by an IECC certified inspector, one during construction and one after completion.
First Inspection (Insulation Inspection)
This inspection must be performed prior to the installation of exterior sheathing. The inspection includes cavity and continuous wall insulation, floors, windows, doors, air leakage, and ensures that all materials are installed correctly. The cost for this inspection starts at $85 for residential buildings.
Final Inspection
This inspection is performed upon completion of construction. The inspection covers attic insulation, duct insulation and construction, temperature controls, hot water systems, heating & cooling equipment, and more. The cost for this inspection starts at $85 for residential buildings.
